FloatAero as a consultancy was founded by Rob Barrett in 2015. It went dormant in 2023 following an unfortunate incident (crash) that resulted in a Spinal Cord Injury and paraplegia.

After a period of rehab at the reknown Stoke Mandeville National Spinal Injuries Unit, Rob committed his knowledge and experience of aero testing to an eBook, Aero Testing in the Real World, and reactivated the FloatAero consultancy business.
